Steven Calcote is an award-winning director with a passion for great storytelling, world building, and exploring humanity's relationship with technology. He has created film, television, commercial, and web projects for such clients as Sony pictures, Disney, BBC America, Nickelodeon, HBO, Smithsonian Institution, AT&T, Industrial Light & Magic, Sega, Electronic Arts, the National Hockey League, Dimension Films, Boeing, Spike TV, MTV, Nexon, Intel, and NASA.
Most recently, he directed a series of films for a major new exhibition at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. A few of his other projects include original live-action web series to supplement video game leviathan Nexon's largest franchises, his high-energy television pilot "The 5 th Hour" for Nickelodeon, a superhero-infused series of television commercials for the National Hockey League starring Stan Lee, an MTV music video for U.S. teen sensation Ryan Beatty's "Hey L.A.", an action-filled online miniseries for the NBA to engage millions of youth across Asia, and a documentary series chronicling the future of Boeing's flight and space programs. An expert in the latest digital filmmaking technologies, animation, visual effects, and interactivity, Steven continues to push the envelope for original entertainment.
